I've always liked using black diamonds with matrix turquoise and decided to go full bore with this super piece of Kingman. Of course once it was finished I had to figure out how many diamonds I used. At some point someone would ask me and it would only be appropriate that I have an accurate answer. So, after procrastinating several times, I used a permanent gold ink marker and marked each stone so I would know it had been counted. 189 black Diamonds. Then I removed the ink with acetone. A friend asked if I'd counted twice to be sure but if I counted again and got a different number then I'd have to do it a third time so I left it alone.
